The concept of the Showroom WebStep Linux Center arises from the idea to provide the public with more comprehensive information about the Linux operating system. Visitors can try out various Linux distributions (Debian, Suse, Ubuntu, Mandriva, etc.) on five computers, and they may buy any of them for a bargain price.  The machines are provided with programs using the Internet, multimedia, and office applications. This is a unique opportunity for every visitor of the WebStep Linux Center to get to know Linux, and have their own experience with the advantages the system installation may provide.

 WebStep Linux Center Offers:

Besides the opportunity to try out various distributions, visitors may want to buy Linux literature, T-shirts or plush penguins. In the future, we plan to extend the assortment of the WebStep Linux Center with electronic devices operated under Linux (mobile phones, PDA, etc.); in a short time, our e-shop will be launched, to let you order products from the Linux Center on-line.

We have installed a model Linux classroom demonstrating the opportunity to use Linux in a school environment. The classroom is built with graphic terminals, i.e. the applications are run by the center - the server - and the individual desktops work as simple display units. Dear users of our e-mail services and web interface WebMail 2.0. Now there
is a option to use for login to the system, besides your user name (mailbox
name), your e-mail address too.

20.02.2008: Asus Eee
UMPC (Ultramobile PC) is now part of WebStep Linux Center, it is - today
cultic - notebook Asus Eee. Asus Eee is powered by Xandros Linux. It weights
under 1kg and there is the SD memory card instead of the disk. You can view,
try and order notebook at our shop. We are looking forward to you.

01.01.2008: Speed up of your e-mail
Dear users of our email services. As a part of effort of improving the quality
of our services we made a successful migration of our e-mail solution to new
and more powerful server placed on faster internet bone. Operation made
possible further improvements of antispam filter and it also provides faster
responses of our e-mail system.
