The concept of the Showroom WebStep Linux Center arises from the idea to provide the public with more comprehensive information about the Linux operating system. Visitors can try out various Linux distributions (Debian, Suse, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora, etc.) on five IBM computers, and they may buy any of them for a bargain price.  The machines are provided with programs using the Internet, multimedia, and office applications. This is a unique opportunity for every visitor of the WebStep Linux Center to get to know Linux, and have their own experience with the advantages the system installation may provide.

 WebStep Linux Center Offers:

Besides the opportunity to try out various distributions, visitors may want to buy Linux literature, T-shirts or plush penguins. You can order products from the Linux Center on-line in our e-shop. In the future, we plan to extend the assortment of the WebStep Linux Center with electronic devices operated under Linux (mobile phones, PDA, etc.).

We have installed a model Linux classroom demonstrating the opportunity to use Linux in a school environment. The classroom is built with graphic terminals, i.e. the applications are run by the center - the server - and the individual desktops work as simple display units.
