Our Participation in LinuxExpo 2007
Penguin Pavilion
The company took part in the LinuxExpo 2007 conference. The conference and exhibition is the biggest event focused on the Linux operating system and open-source software in Central Europe. Important companies took part, such as IBM, Red Hat, Oracle, Servodata and HP.
At our stand, we presented activities related to the support and implementation of solutions using the GNU/Linux operating system. Clients could purchase installation media with most popular GNU/Linux distributions, and various promotional items (plush penguins, T-shirts, etc.).
For the conference section, we had two lectures. The first presentation was aimed at the popularization of instant messaging, XMPP protocol and Openfire server in the business environment. It was elaborated by Jiří Kadeřávek and Tomáš Hnilica (load the PDF version here). In the second presentation, by Andrej Pavelka, we introduced our pilot program, WebStep Linux Engineering (load the PDF version here). The response by numerous audience members was favorable, which contributed to our stronger position on the market in terms of the popularization and implementation of Linux solutions.
